相信在阅读这篇文章的同学们已经对于Presentation很熟悉了。但是，尽管熟悉，很多学生听到要做Presentation的时候，还是会紧张。紧张的原因，一部分是因为要面对同学和老师说英语，还有一部分原因，是不知道怎么样能起个好头，从而顺利过渡到主题内容。
我听过很多同学都习惯把Presentation翻译为演讲，但其实这是不准确的。当提到Presentation，我们首先想到的是TED或者在某个大会上的演说，这些其实是Speech演讲。而同学们经常做的Presentation，更多是为了把某些信息或者想法分享给同学和老师。
无论是正式的演讲，还是在小范围内展示信息，甚至是讲故事，我们都需要做到：
- 吸引听众的注意力
- 分享信息、想法或者观点等
- 提供重要的细节
- 使你的信息让听众有记忆点
- 实现目标，包括让你的听众同意你的观点，或者采取行动，或者改变想法，等等
要做到以上几点，一个好的开头至关重要。今天，我就给同学们提供一些通用的Presentation开头的方法。开头简介是Presentation中最重要的部分，因为这部分会给听众留下第一印象。这是你在做Presentation时第一次有机会引起听众的注意。
然而，在开始说话的时候，很多同学都觉得第一刻往往是最难的，不确定怎样能有个好开头。因此，我给大家提供一个Presentation的开头部分的通用大纲，可以应用到几乎所有形式的Presentation之中。
1. 欢迎听众并介绍自己
2. 抓住听众注意力
3. 告诉听众你做Presentation的首要目的，或者话题
4. 提供一个Presentation的摘要
欢迎听众并介绍自己
从热烈的欢迎开始介绍自己是做Presentation时很礼貌的一种方式。例如，可以使用以下语言：
Welcome to [name of company or event]. My name is [name] and I am the [job title or background information].
Thank you for coming today. I’m [name] and I’m looking forward to talking with you today about [your topic].
Good morning/afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I’d like to quickly introduce myself. I am [name] from [company or position]. (正式)
On behalf of [name of company], I’d like to welcome you today. For those of you who don’t already know me, my name is [name] and I am [job title or background]. (正式)
Hi everyone. I’m [name and background]. I’m glad to be here with you today. Now let’s get started. (非正式)
抓住听众注意力
关于如何吸引听众的注意力，以下是很好用的短语，可以帮助学生做好开头。
Did you know that [insert an interesting fact or shocking statement]?
Have you ever heard that [insert interesting fact or shocking statement]?
Before I start, I’d like to share a quick story about [tell your story]…
I remember [tell your story, experience or memory]…
When I started preparing for this talk, I was reminded of [tell your story, share your quote or experience]…
告诉听众你做Presentation的首要目的，或者话题
在这一阶段，学生要向听众明确阐释自己的主题或目标。只是简单的一两句话就好，要说得很清楚。比如，可以这样说：
This morning I’d like to present our new [product or service].
Today I’d like to discuss…
Today I’d like to share with you…
What I want to share with you is…
My goal today is to help you understand…
During my talk this morning/afternoon, I’ll provide you with some background on [main topic] and why it is important to you.
I will present my findings on…
By the end of my presentation, I’d like for you to know…
I aim to prove to you / change your mind about…
I’d like to take this opportunity to talk about…
As you know, this morning/afternoon I’ll be discussing…
提供一个Presentation的摘要
在Presentation开头的最后阶段，同学们要对自己的内容做一个简要概述，说明重点。这可以帮助听众做好准备迎接接下来的Presentation主题内容，并保持专注度。以下是做简要概述时可以使用的语言：
First, I’m going to present… Then I’ll share with you… Finally, I’ll ask you to…
The next thing I’ll share with you is…
In the next section, I’ll show you…
Today I will be covering these 3 (or 5) key points…
In this presentation, we will discuss/evaluate…
By the end of this presentation, you’ll be able to…
My talk this morning is divided into [number] main sections… First, second, third… Finally…
综上所述，同学们做Presentation时要有一个好的开始，这是你们成功的第一步。同学们，尤其是英语水平处于初级阶段的同学，可以记住文中给出的例子，然后运用到自己的语言之中。
