大部分学校都要求简历控制在一页以内，有的学校甚至会对格式和字体有要求，所以建议同学们查看项目官网，仔细核对。下面是MIT对于简历内容的要求：
2. Essay
大部分学校都会要求写一个常规的问题：为什么想要申请我们的项目？想要从项目中学到什么？你的长期和短期职业目标是什么？我们的项目如何支持你实现你的职业目标？
MIT：
Please tell us why you’re pursuing the Master of Business Analytics degree at MIT Sloan. What do you hope to gain from the program? What are your career aspirations? (500 words or less)
UMich：
How will the MBAn program support you in achieving your short- and long- term career goals? What led you to pursue a graduate degree in business? (200 word minimum. Content beyond 300 words will not be reviewed.)
回答这一系列的问题，同学们需要一步一步捋清楚思路。
首先，要明确为什么想要申请？这个动机每个同学都不太一样，可以思考的方向有：上过的某一节课程，做过的某一个实习或者工作，自己的独特的经历都可以，做到言之有理。
其次，职业目标，即毕业后短期和长期这两个阶段你想要去做什么岗位的工作，在什么行业，什么公司。不清楚职业目标的同学们可以查看项目官网，在职业支持的网站通常会有往届学生的就业走向，从中寻找思路。
再者，为什么想要申请这个学校的项目，而不是另外一个学校的项目？这个就涉及到项目的特色，如课程，教授，就业支持等。建议同学们仔细查看每个项目的官网，这样写出来的文书才更有说服力。
另外，有一些学校会有比较特色的题目，询问课外活动，小组项目，优点缺点等。

Question 1:
“25 Random Things About Yourself” Our spirit of community is what sets the Fuqua experience apart. The concepts extend beyond the student body to include faculty, staff, and administration. When a new person joins the admissions team, we ask that person to share with everyone in the office a list of “25 Random Things About Yourself.” As an admissions team, we already know the new hire’s professional and academic background, so learning these “25 Random Things” helps us to get to know someone’s personality, background, special talents, and more.
In this spirit, the admissions committee also wants to get to know you beyond the professional and academic achievements listed in your resume and transcript. You can share with us important life experiences, your likes and dislikes, hobbies, achievements, fun facts, or anything that helps us understand what makes you who you are.
Question 2:
For our MQM: Business Analytics class, the Admissions team is looking for students who are eager to engage with, and learn from, their classmates. This learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom, as extracurricular engagement is an important part of the MQM experience. Describe how you would plan to be engaged outside of the classroom, and how your unique perspective, experiences, and passions will add to the MQM community.
UMich：
Please describe your strengths and provide detailed examples where these strengths were exhibited. (150 word minimum. Content beyond 300 words will not be reviewed.)
Please comment on your areas of development (weaknesses) and what efforts you have made to address these areas. (150 word minimum. Content beyond 300 words will not be reviewed.)
Please describe your ability to work with others on group projects or other team settings. Provide an example of when you contributed positively in a group project or team setting. (150 word minimum. Content beyond 300 words will not be reviewed.)
从这些问题可以看出来，商业分析研究生项目还是比较看重课外活动参与的，所以建议同学们在大学期间尽量参与一些活动，为文书积累素材。
